The Power of Mac
After many years using that well known operating system, and being stuck in the endless upgrade cycle, Steve broke free and switched to Apple Macintosh computers. Man, what a good move that was! The thing about using a Mac is, it just works. For example, it works the way you wish it would work. It doesn't bleat or bloat or nag or crash, it just works. OS X really is the best computer operating system you can get, regardless of price. And it costs a lot less than you know what. Macs Are Great!

Best Operating System At Any Price
OS X is the operating system used on current Apple computers. It has a most delightful combination of reliability, ease of use, sensible design, close attention to detail, and a world famous eye candy visual appeal.
As you can probably tell by now, Steve likes OS X and recommends it to everyone. It was not that long ago that he was stuck, as you may be now, using an operating system that was full of holes, cantankerous, argumentative, vindictive, and constantly frustrating. Obviously you already know which operating system that is.
Did we mention how that other operating system needs to be fixed constantly to protect it from the thousands of viruses and worms that exploit the thousands of security holes that have been discovered so far. And more every week. And the patching. And the rebooting, oh the constant rebooting, the Oh My God You Changed Something now you must reboot. Yuck.
And even after you buy it you still need their permission to use it, the merciless activation. So much do I not miss it.
He likes OS X though, Steve does, he likes it a lot. He does.

This website was created using an Apple Power Mac dual CPU computer. Many people who work in creative fields prefer to use Apple computers. For some tasks, like video rendering, they are considered the fastest personal computers made. |

Servers |
When it comes to running a server, Linux and UNIX still rule the roost. This website runs on an Apache webserver running under Red Hat Enterprise Linux. You'll never, ever, see Steve connect a computer running that Redmond OS directly to the Internet. It's a dumb thing to do. |
